The Shining Teens Malaysia 2008 is a national level competition that is presents by K Box Production Team and Olympia College Ipoh. The event is carefully tailored to create all-rounded role model for teenagers through voting and professional judging.
The event is served as a stage for teenagers to join in the parade of outstanding “idols” to experience, to share and to expose themselves with great challenges while increasing their popularity among respective educational institutions and the city.
Shining Teens Malaysia 2008's Theme:

This year we wish to expose an ALL ROUNDED teenagers in academic, sports, co-curriculum and social activities, intelligent comprises EQ and IQ factors, strong inter-personal skill, outspoken, friendly, charming, and popular.

PRESENTER – K Box Production team
K Box Production Team is a pioneer in organizing contest such like this in Malaysia and never within other channels that you possibly found doing similar contest. The team already has 3 years experience in organizing such an event, with strong production background and aggressive marketing.
The event not only brought up 'K Box’ brand name but also the sponsors’ brand tremendously through aggressive marketing and it established popularity.

This year, K Box Production team carefully selected Olympia College Ipoh as it partner to join strength in the making and management of this prestigious event.
The institution promised an educational, healthy and positive image for the event. It is the institute role to ensure the event support by the Education Ministry, schools, colleges and parents.

The team carefully handling the contestant attitude and behavior, thus the event receive full support from the parents and positive feed back towards our activities and aims.
We made guideline in choosing our sponsors and we are very selective and we promise NO alcoholic and tobacco issue within this contest.
Contestant's Requirements
Aged between 16-25 years old.
Secondary school students or college students with valid identification.
Able to converse in any two languages either English, Malay or Chinese.
Any races.
Any nationality.
COMPETITION STRUCTURE
No registration fees
Contestants are required to complete registration forms (Can be obtained from K Box, Olympia College, Young Express, or official website)
Contestant are required to submit two recent self-portraits (Full body and half body)
(STRICTLY NO SOFT COPY!!!!)
Only short listed contestants will be notified for the first interview session are required to go through talent competition, Q&A session, appearance and eloquence test
Selected 40 semi-finalists will take part in SMS voting via official magazine (60% of total points) and on-stage talent competition (40%of total points)
After go through a series of activities, 8 guys and 8 girls will be announced as 16 finalist
16 finalists shall under go a video and photo shooting to create their own profile for voting
During the coronation ceremony, only ONE guy and ONE girl will be selected as the winners of Shinning Teens
PROPOSED PRIZES
Winners (male and female) each:RM1000 cash each and Scholarship from Olympia College Ipoh other non-cash prizes
Subsidiary titles: cash or non-cash prizes from sponsors
Semi finalist: cash or non-cash prizes from sponsors
Finalist: cash or non-cash prizes from sponsors
